STARTING OFF! JUST DOING IT!

It's 12:41am right now; in Lagos, Nigeria as i type this! I should be asleep but I'm bursting with so much excitement! SEGISONLINE has flagged off! Wow! I had to tell myself i wasn't procrastinating anymore; I had been doing so for a while now; don't blame me, too much work really. The honest truth is, I don't know if it's just me but i do well when pushed. Deadlines excite me and make me do great! This is just my first post, so it might not be too exciting to read but I'll improve. Mostly, what you'll see here will be fabulous African pieces, too delicious to resist! And yes, I'm not a fashion designer!

Someone asked me the other day why i was shying away from saying I was a fashion designer, well I'm simply not!  if you are a frequent visitor on several websites and blogs like bellanaija, ynaija, lindaikeji's and co, you'll see that there are so many so called 'fashion designers' but all I see are repetitions and imitations of designs and lack of innovation and creativity. I believe a designer should think out of the box; be out of this world and I'm not so sure I qualify as that yet. I love simple, elegant and unique items! So SEGI'S is a fashion retail business; bringing you lovely items created with African materials by Africans. I create some and get others from other designers.

I hope you love what you see as much as I do. I am just starting, so I will get better! *winks*
